Words are important.  They are essential in order for us to survive as a culture. 

Perhaps a little anecdote to show what i mean:

I was sitting in my hot tub the other day, a glass of wine in hand, with some sort of melody in the background, and i was looking up at the stars.  The universe was looking more vast and expansive than usual, each speck almost having the look of willingness to tell me a story.  And the thought that i felt when i looked up there?

I should have been thinking, "I'm so insignificant in the grand scheme of things, so little compared to the foreverer reaching black above me."

But i wasn't thinking that.  It was something else, the feeling that was washing over me.  I just couldn't find the word choice. 

A short while later my little brother, only nine years old, joined me in the water.  I asked him, after he had settled: "What do you feel when you look up at the stars?"

Without hesitation, he replied:  "I feel important.  I feel that we all are important."

The point is he was right.  We are all important, and it's our duty to share our own importance with each other.
