P90x. If you haven't heard of it already, you'll hear about it soon. P90x is the home workout program that requires only one thing: hard work. If you work hard, put in the time, and don't ever skip anything. you will be greatly rewarded - at least thats what the P90x program leader Tony Horton tells you.

So is it worth it? Is he right?

You might have stopped by my Hub Ab Ripper X Workout Guide and tried out that P90x program, and if you did, you would have found that it's no joke. It's extremely difficult, but also extremely rewarding. After a month of Ab Ripper X you'll be noticing improved strength and definition.

The next hub in the P90x Workout series is the Chest and Back workout. Is it as good as Ab Ripper X?

Let's find out.

P90x Chest and Back Workout

The P90x chest and back workout mainly focuses on different kind of push-ups in different positions. Some require to max out your reps, while some have a specific goal. The chest workouts include:

  • Standard Push-Ups
  • Wide Front Pull-Ups
  • Military Push-Ups
  • Reverse Grip Chin-Ups
  • Wide Fly Push-Ups
  • Closed Grip Overhand Pull-Ups
  • Decline Push-Ups
  • Heavy Pants
  • Diamond Push-Ups
  • Lawnmower
  • Dive Bomber Push-Ups
  • Back Flys

The program is divided into two separate rounds where you run through each exercise twice. The second time through they switch a few of the exercises up, make them, for some, a little hard, so the workout has nice variety. The best part of the P90x chest and back workout is that it doesn't require a gym pass, or a box of weights, or any kind of machine, you just need your own body weight and a good attitude.

Also the P90x videos are a good supplement to use when working out; Tony Horton provides great inspiration, and encouragement, as well - if your unsure of any of the exercises - shows you how to do them with clearness.

P90x Chest and Back Workout Compared To Others

There are dozens of other chest and back workouts out there that promise the same thing - and many of them also have proven results. So how does P90x compare; or how does the chest and back workout compare?

The workout is a slow and steady workout which requires you to take your time and get all the exercises right. This is one of the most positive aspects of P90x. By going slowly and doing things the right way you greatly improve your bodies chances of becoming stronger. Many other programs don't give you such good insight.
